TNA’s world-title history is not one continuous belt.
TNA first booked a licensed NWA lineage, then established a distinct company-owned championship in May 2007.
Keeping those histories separate reveals the real change: the first era was highly concentrated, while the company-owned title distributed champion-days across a much larger field.
TNA relied on outside prestige—but it also created more lasting top-level equity than its reputation suggests.
